Liberative Education for Tribes and Dalits (LEAD)LEAD is the acronym for the programme ‘Liberative Education for Tribes and Dalits’. It refers specifically to the formal education of the underprivileged Tribe and Dalit children. Around 130 children from first standard to 12 standard are accommodated and imparted education in the two homes run by PEAK. Inigo Children’s Home accommodates the primary school going boys and girls and Inigo Boys’ Home accommodates the boys who are studying from 6th standard to 12th standard. These boys stay in our homes and study in three different schools administered by the diocese and the congregation of Immaculate Conception.

Apart from these two hostels, LEAD facilitates the Tribe and Dalit students from Kodaikanal Hills to study in various other educational institutions in and around Tamilnadu. Of these students, around 70 students are studying in well reputed high and higher secondary schools; Another 40 students are pursuing their higher education either in arts and science colleges or in professional colleges.
